Motivational... Season 4

It all starts here, My Little Pony season 4 has begun.

Thus far Season 4 of My Little Pony seems to be okay.

Good if some minor animation glitches, don't like the idea they are going a tad overboard with the songs unless they are incredibly good. It's a solid start, but can they keep us this happy?

It is to note Pinkie has a lust for frosting that just can't be easily resolved by just shoving a cupcake down her throat, you can't just eat only one cupcake. Spike and Pinkie must have played Donitz pony QWOP game Twilight Vs. Walking since they both fall down a flight of stairs. Pinkie seemed to be playing on all cylinders with her letters to Twilight. Applejack being sweet as an apple saying they'd never stop being friends. Celestia once again got captured, we don't even know when Luna was capture but at least she must have struggled for a longer period of time then a few seconds. Luna and Celestia faced off with Discord after Sombra right? Or at least that's what they seemed to be implying given Luna is a bit roughed up while they are talking to Discord.

I can see why Twilight would like to not wear the crown all the time, she's still herself it's her friends who are walking on eggshells around her especially in the Ever Free Forest. They sent her back despite the fact that she would have been safer going along with them in the first place. Do they not think that she can't take care of herself? Well technically she can't at times, if it wasn't for Spike making sure she got away from those books to eat she'd probably read to death. The reason why they need to rescue Twilight is because they sent her away in the first place instead of letting her come with them. Sure they were thinking of her safety as a princess, but what of her safety as a friend as someone who's handled problems like this a lot of times before? She's even outraced dragons so I don't see why she couldn't have continued on with them. It's also of note that she makes the elements of harmony work, yeah it's a bright idea to send away your ace in the hole. On the other hand, they didn't know how long they would have been without a princess so their worries were warranted.

Twilight must have felt like her friends were distancing themselves from her and treating her differently, which they were mostly and she just wants their friendship to remain the same. She doesn't want special treatment and that's where her friend go because she's now a princess.

Discord is the Great Gazoo, I've been right all along about Discord Q. Gazoo and his apparent need to help and hinder through the use of chaos. He might not have given information away, but he did get Twilight to go where she was needed. Who knows how long Celestia and Luna would have survived being trapped in the cocoons.

The past potion was an interesting thing, let's you look into the past to see things... but apparently only alicorns can use it. The fact that Zecora had it prepped already was interesting, just add alicorn magic. Luna's transformation was a spectacular scene, the fight.. not so much it was just Celestia running away and then using the elements of harmony.

The elements of harmony are grown on a magical tree... so they're plant seeds? Seeds of harmony? In any case they bring up a mysterious box, requiring six keys created by the harmony tree, which might lead to a seventh element of harmony or some new magical McMuffin. In any case the Tree seems to have reabsorbed them, but it did free up Celestia and Luna. Twilight Sparkle Starbooms at the end of it.

These two episodes take place in a 'twilight hour' given it's between night and day. If anyone's read Antipodes or Fallout: Equestria then these two episodes can give you an inkling to what it's like to have the sun and moon create perpetual twilight and or the idea behind what nuclear powered Poison Joke might look like.

Apparently ponies that fly all have seatbelts. Rockadiles are a new species of play on words. Twilight crying over a down Celestia is sad to watch. Pinkie is definitely past the point of being precognitive, twitchy tail means somethings going to fall? Well now I think it just means to move out of the way or your going to be hit by something. Rarity and Opalescence have started a soap opera drama between mare and cat. Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom, but no scoots? I'm sure Scootaloo will get her time in the sun and flying ability before this season is out.

All in all it was a good start, now let's see if they can keep a smile like that on the peoples faces.
